cats who look at kings

Hi my name is Eli and I like to draw and stuff.

There are some impressive levels of nothing on this page. Wow.

Don’t really know what her name will be yet - not even sure if this palette will stick or not.

Aaand now for some sketches from today, now with only moderate amounts of derp.

Playing with characters designs and also tapirs.

I bought a moleskine a while ago and, while it took a bit to get used to how thin the paper is, I’m absolutely in love with it.

Trying to get better at drawing people facing the left with a few sketches or Zelna. Also been thinking about changing her name.

Since I got today off as well I figured I’d play around with another redraw. This particular fancharacter character can be found on this post at fuckyeahmarysues, though I have to warn you that you story is a bit of a doozy. The only difference I made this time around was darken the skin slightly so that the difference between the whites of her eyes and her skin was a little more evident. She also had surprisingly large breasts for a 13-year-old in the original artwork.

Once again - no malice in intended with this redraw. C:

Every so often I like to attempt a simple self portrait, this is the most recent result.

Decided to do a redraw of this character from fuckyeahmarysues because it seemed like a good idea at the time. I’ll be completely honest, I have a soft spot for ridiculous, over the top Mary Sues. <3 No malice intended.

Started to run out of steam by the time I got to the wings but fuck it - I’m done.

decided to do a little drawing exercise where I redraw Sues from fuckyeahmarysues someone send help I don’t know what I’m doing

I attended TCAF for the first time this past weekend and I’m still somewhat giddy about the whole experience. It was absolutely amazing - everyone there was just incredibly friendly and, while the crowds were pretty big, it was nothing like other conventions I’ve gone to. I definitely plan to go next year - it was just a wonderful experience.

I got to meet a lot of amazing people this weekend including some artists that I’d never heard of before (such as Jen Tong and Irma Kniivila) and artists/writers that I have been following for years (such as Yuko Ota and Ananth Panagariya, who were both very friendly and patient as I blushed like a mad man).

Now if you’ll excuse me I think I’m going to go sleep for a little longer. I forgot how exhausting these kinds of things can be for a little country bumpkin such as myself.

totally worth it
